NEOBUS SEEKS TO EXPAND PRODUCTION IN THE COUNTRY AND ACCELERATE EXPORTS

Expanding its presence in the international market and initiating the resumption of higher production levels, are some of the NEOBUS objectives. With 17 years of experience in the Brazilian bus market, the manufacturer has achieved significant participation and brand presence due to the quality standard of its products and the agility in offering unique and innovative models, such as the BRT buses and, more recently, the New Road family.

Always focused on meeting the demands of the domestic market, the company has suffered a great drop in sales due to the three year economic crisis in Brazil. To change this scenario, the company is adopting a management model that is appropriate to the country's current economic moment and it has also been applying the best management practices.

“We have been working towards the recovery of the company's historical levels of performance and we will reinforce our strengths such as brand identity, market presence, innovation, robustness and after-sales service to increase our international presence and product portfolio,“ explains the new CEO, Alexandre Pontalti.

“At the same time, we need to stay close to our clients in Brazil as we have been doing since the beginning of our activities, as well as expanding our presence abroad, since our business potential at this moment is quite big, "emphasizes Pontalti. Last year, NEOBUS increased its exports in up to 13%, with a total of 332 units sent to foreign clients.

The goal is to increase production volumes in a gradual and constant manner. For this, the company intends to intensify its activities in Latin American markets, exporting the whole range of buses such as urban, road and microbuses.

In 2016, NEOBUS produced 1,519 units, a 22% decrease when compared with the previous year (1,957 units). There were 821 urban buses with emphasis on MEGA PLUS, 506 microbuses and 192 road buses from the New Road N10 family, which resulted in a 10.6% share in the national production.
