Vehicles will be used for public transport in Rio and Grande Rio
Transportes Santo Antônio Ltda. acquired eight units of the NEOBUS New Mega urban bus. The new vehicles started to be delivered in the first week of September, will be incorporated into the fleet of the company, which owns most of the brand’s bus models. The important transportation operator of Niterói, in the State of Rio de Janeiro, will use the vehicles in the municipality and in the cities of the Grande Rio area.
“The urban NEOBUS buses are recognized in Rio de Janeiro for their robustness, low maintenance and more space and comfort for the passengers. After its launch, the New Mega has been frequently chosen for the fleet renewal program of many transport companies,” says João Paulo Ledur, the director of NEOBUS.
The New Mega buses purchased by Transportes Santo Antônio have a Mercedes-Benz OF 1721 chassis and the ability to carry 41 passengers seated in Urbana type upholstered high-back seats. They feature Spheros 355 S air conditioning system to cool down passengers from Rio’s heat, platform lift for wheelchair users and people with reduced mobility, five electronic destination displays, internal lighting, optical assembly and LED tail lights with injected parts and driver's seat with greater ergonomics and comfort to provide better driving.
The NEOBUS New Mega model stands out for its extreme robustness and is the urban bus with the largest internal width of the market. Spacious, economical and aesthetically attractive, it was designed to meet the needs of transportation operators from all over the country, combining comfort and optimum performance.
